This heavy brass belcher chain carries a fascinating mix of style and good fortune: the primary charms being heavy brass charms of a King, a Jack, a Crown and a Joker (for fun!). To these I've added a black cat; a glass lampwork evil eye; an Italian/Sicilian Fig/Fist lucky 13 charm; a little black dice charm, and a tiny vintage brass locket to contain your own lucky charm!



The beadwork is a mixture of new and vintage: 50s glass white faux pearls; glass glitter drops in charcoal and dark red; a brass-set ruby lucite heart; vintage 60s facetted diamond drops in ruby/claret and silver; vintage white acrylic frost drops; small, round mother-of-pearl beads; red-and-black 80s acrylic beads, and Czech glass lustre hearts.

~*A Note on the Charms*~ This bracelet would be suitable for wearers outside Italy, as the black cat isn't generally considered lucky in this country.*~
~* The fist/fig charm has been considered a gesture and symbol of good luck since ancient times in many Mediterranean cultures, but has acquired obscene connotations in Russia and the Balkans particularly, as well as adjacent nations in the form of Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, and oddly Indonesia. Please bear this in mind if buying as a gift!*~
~*The evil eye, both as a symbol and gesture, is so ancient its history would take pages to relate. Suffice it to say, it is intended to reflect bad luck, evil intentions and the hostile gaze to the originator.*~

The length of the bracelet is a generous 8"/20cm with a decorated 2"/5cm extension chain, and the piece comes gift-wrapped, as usual.
