Your Payment Choices
Online:
The quickest and safest way to pay is using your credit, debit, Amex or Electron/Solo card via my PayPal checkout. I don't see your card details as I use PayPal too! Payments in UK Pounds, Euros and US Dollars are Free - if you pay using any other currency, you'll probably be charged a small conversion fee by PayPal.
You don't need to join PayPal to use this facility, although membership is free, and it can be quite handy if you buy online occasionally; it adds an extra layer of protection between yourself and the vendor. Click the PayPal image below for a 'More Information' pop-up.
Sorry, but I don't yet have facilities to take credit/debit card payments directly over the telephone.

If you pay using PayPal direct from your bank account, rather than with a card, it will be sent to me as an eCheque. PayPal say these take 7-10 days to clear, but recently I've found the process has speeded up, and you can expect clearance notification and despatch from me within about 5 days.
Internet Banking Transfer:
If you're in the UK, and don't want to use PayPal, you can now safely and speedily use Bank Transfer from your internet banking - I only see your name, not your account details, and clearing is quicker than posting a payment. Clearance takes 2-3 days. Simply email me with your order (don't use the shopping cart), and I'll reserve your pieces for you, and send payee details for your transfer. I will notify you of clearance and despatch.
Europe Bank Transfer: as above, but I will also provide my IBAN number, and BIC number if needed, with my account details. Please add 1.5% to your total to cover currency conversion charges.
Worldwide Bank Transfer: as above, but please add 2.5% to your total to cover currency conversion charges.
By Post:
If you prefer not to pay online, just email me with your order (don't use the shopping cart or you'll get in a pickle!), so I can reserve the pieces you've selected for you. I'll mail you back with payee details and my full postal address, and you can then post a cheque, postal order or bankers draft. These must be in Pounds Sterling (GBP). Generally, I don't wait for cheques to clear if the amount is below £10. For amounts above this, please allow 7 days for cheques to process - new banking codes to protect against fraud have increased clearing time from the previous 4 days.
Postal orders and bankers drafts are treated as instant payments - your order will be despatched immediately upon receipt.
Private Payment Plan
More expensive items are now available in a choice of installments. Amount and time depend on the price of the piece, but generally the maximum is four months. The item will be removed from the website and reserved for you, so discretion is assured. Despatch by secure mail is immediate upon receipt of the final payment. Simply Contact Cru for details on the piece you like.
Data Protection Act
1) If paying with debit/credit cards, PayPal will send me the following information: your email address, your name, your postal address, and if you've included it in your PayPal special instructions, your telephone number. These will be stored on a secure machine, behind a firewall and protected by anti-virus software that is updated daily.
2) These details will not be passed to any Third Party, and will only be used for contact between yourself and Cru/Red Scorpion Design if you have expressly given permission for further contact after the transaction is completed to the satisfaction of both parties; for example, if you've asked for updates on the latest designs/newsletters.
3) If paying by cheque, draft or postal order, I will hold these for no more than one working day before banking, and the account numbers and sort codes will not be stored. Name, address and email will be held until cheques have cleared for delivery purposes only. Same protection as 2) above, applies.
Tips for Safe Shopping Online
No honest online retailer will ever ask for the the following by email: your PayPal password, your bank details, your credit card details, your passwords or your PIN number. If you receive an apparently genuine email asking you to 'log on' to confirm an order/bank details/credit card details, treat it with the greatest suspicion.
Don't click on any 'pay now' type links or buttons within the email - simply forward it to spoof@paypal.co.uk for investigation. Likewise, treat a text message or telephone call with caution until you've contacted the apparent sender.
When paying online, before you enter sensitive information, such as your credit card number, check in the address bar of your browser that the address begins https:// (this means your details are being processed through a secure server, and can't be intercepted.) Both the Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers will also display a little 'lock' icon either at the top or bottom of the screen.
Cru/Red Scorpion Design will never ask you for any sensitive information. If you have any concerns, feel free to Contact Cru.
