Commissions and 'Bottom of the Box'
If you like my style, I'm happy to help with something similar, but as all my designer jewellery pieces are unique, you'll be getting something which is a one-off; none of my pieces are alike! I particulary enjoy making jewellery which is specific to a particular person, so I've recently introduced my 'Bottom of the Box' Service.
If you're like me, you have all sorts of bits and pieces that fall to the bottom of your jewellery box, but can't bear to part with - odd, but much-loved earrings; bracelets and necklaces that you've inherited but aren't fashionable; and old, yet significant, presents from the Past that it wouldn't be tactful to wear outright ...
"Traditional charm bracelets themselves fascinate me - the idea that your entire history can be carried around with you on your wrist - birth, birthdays, coming-of-age, graduation, old boyfriends ... An endlessly absorbing piece of jewellery, that you can imagine your grandchildren asking 'What's the story behind this one?'
To extend this tradition into including one's own style and beliefs too - favourite colours, images, symbols - is a concept which gives me a real creative buzz. That a piece of jewellery can be not just an expression of personality, or affection and attachment, but of personal history."
Cruel Lady
If you'd like to take advantage of this Service, send me a rough outline of your idea - bracelet, necklace or earrings - and some pics of the stuff you'd like included: digital camera pics are best, but images taken with your phone camera will still give me a good idea of colour and style. I'll tell you straight away if I have the materials to make what you want, and give you a rough quote for the work if I can do it.
The picture above gives an example of this, very personal, collaboration between client and designer. Having been given permission to explain, you can see that this client has had many influences in her life - the charm bracelet is multicolored, and there are Christian, Egyptian and Pagan symbols; there's a haematite cross, which helps with stability and issues with stomach and weight; an enamel shoe charm (no prizes for what that means girls!); a blood vial pendant; lots of fairies; vintage and new coloured beads from the client and my own collection, and charms made from old earrings ... well, you get the idea.
Quotations are commensurate with how much you supply, and the materials you want me to use - so hit the Contact Cru button if you fancy creating your own modern heirloom - this is art jewellery with passion!
Stylist, Photo Shoot and Catwalk Jewellery
I'm always happy to provide small resource Collections to stylists, photographers and event organisers. Please bear in mind that all my designs are handmade and singular - large quantities will require an adequate lead time. Contact me with an outline of your concept for details and discount levels.
Thanks must go here to Red Scorpion Design's house model Sappho Girl for showing off some past and present pieces in her latest 'Gothy' shoot.
Pictured above: the decorated pentagram was created specifically for the shoot; the velvet choker everyone wants was from my regular collection of one-offs (yes, yes - I'll make some more when I have the right stuff!), but there's still stock of the big Medieval Cross. My new range of dangly belly bars can be found in the Body Jewellery section.
Wedding Planner and Bridal Jewellery
If you're planning a wedding, you can make the day truly memorable with a memento piece for the bride or a special guest. I can also make jewellery and favours for brides, grooms, attendants and their guests in a flexible range of traditional and modern styles at attractive prices. A number of my fellow Guild members make tiaras to order too, to provide a full ensemble. Just contact me with your ideas.
